Hi,
if I replace a component with the 'Replace component' command assembly constraints fail (logic).
I remember that in NX 3 there are the "Assemblies? Components? Define Mating Alternates " e "Assemblies? Components? Verify " to avoid to lose the 'Mating condition'.
Is there something similar in NX7 or I need to redefine 20 assembly constraints ?

Thank you...

Using NX 7.0.1.7 MP1 and TC8.1

There's still an option to 'Maintain Relationships' (in the 'Settings' section of the Replace Component dialog) which includes attempting to keep Assembly Constraints and Attributes assigned to the Component. The restrictions and limitations controlling this behavior has NOT changed from when NX used Mating Conditions.

If I start with NX7, how can I add this attribute so if I replace a screw with another I don't need the redefine failed assembly constrains ?

Thank you...

There is NO 'attribute' that needs to be added. My comment about what 'Maintain Relationships' meant was that IF there were any assembly specific Attributes added to the component which is being replaced, they will be reassigned to the new component.

Then the answer is :
Sorry but the same functionality present in NX 3, in NX 7 doesn't exist.
You have to redefine all you 20 assembly constraints, one by one.

Then describe me please an example step by step how to replace a component with another without redefine assembly constrain in NX 7.

I suggest that you find someplace where you can take some NX training classes. Using message boards as a substitute for formal training is generally a waste of time for all parties involved, particularly for something as basic as Assembly Modeling.
