Replace link in drawing 1

[CAD2015]

Hi,
I was asked to replace the 3D math date linked to a drawing, using a product instead .
I got this message:” The link refused the document"
What am I doing wrong?
What is the right way (step-by-step) to do this procedure?

Hi ,

You cannot replace the drawing of a 3D with any 3D. For this you should have a same copy of the current 3D which is saved by using the option "save as " . Because CATIA uses the identification no called as UUID (unique Identifier ) for each file. The UUID of the drawing and the part should match with each other. hOPE IT HELPS.
