Replacing batteries in a cordless drill

Hi!

I have a cordless drill battery in which I want to replace the inside batteries. (There likely isn't a standard replacement battery available since it's not a "large brand" drill.)

I opened up the battery, and found 13 smaller batteries inside. Smaller than a D-size battery, they measure about 21.5mm (diameter) x 40.5mm (height), not measuring the tip. The outside paper (wrap around the battery) had a marking on it "7D" and also "BC" was noted directly on the metal of the battery (under the paper).

Looking on wikipedia and the net I could not find any similar battery size.

My question: does anyone have an idea what this battery is called and/or where I could find some?

Joining them back together is something I should be able to do using a soldering iron.

God Bless & Thanks,
Roel

Forgot to mention that the total drill battery itself is 15.6V and that it's rechargeable.

Cool IRstuff, thanks, this helped me
