Good morning,Exchanger which is connected to the Pump means inlet from the pump will comes under the scope of ASME sec VIII or not?Go through the following. as per API 510 Apendix A
b. All classes of containers listed for exemption from the scope of ASME Section VIII: Division 1:
1. Those classes of containers within the scope of other sections of the ASME Code other than Section VIII: Division I.
2. Fired process tubular heaters.
3. Pressure containers that are integral parts or components of rotating or reciprocating mechanical devices, such as pumps,
compressors, turbines, generators, engines, and hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders where the primary design considerations or
stresses are derived from the functional requirements of the device.
I have the problem with Thickness monitoring and actually TML required or not for such type of equipments.?
