Hi All,

I am trying to buy AutoCAD 2006 as I do not have the budget for buying the latest version. Can someone advise which are the legitimate resellers of AutoCAD, or any such company whom I can approach? Also, if I want to buy an old version of SolidWorks, like SW 2006, where can I find a legitimate reseller? Any more info regarding these kind of purchases would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Find a local reseller and give them a call.

I believe you MUST buy any Autodesk products from an authorized reseller anything else is illegal. They have financing too though..
Since you don't have the budget maybe you might be better looking into an alternative like Alibre (2d and 3d cad) which is much cheaper. Welcome to the world..pay to play

Normally you cannot buy older versions of programs.

Like looslib says, often legitimate sellers wont sell old versions.

If they did they wouldn't be legitimate anymore.. :)

I say often because there is sometimes some wiggle room to get older versions for compatibility etc. but - you basically pay for a license of the new version so don't save any cash.

Resale MAY be ok as long as it is a true sale of the license. Some companies only allow the sale of the software if the division that owned the software is sold.
