hello,
i have doubt on residence time required for the reaction for thermal cracking in delayed coker unit, i calculated residence time from data that is 9.8 min, what will be effect on througput ( topped crude) if the residence time will change by flow regulator FRC,becouse for thermal cracking need appropriate residence time .
following are data from that i have calculated residence time,
tube O.D/ THICKNESS=108 MM/9.5 MM
NO.OF TUBES FOR 72,FOR RADIATION SECTION
AND FOR THE CONVECTION SECTION 60
HEATING SURFACE AREA FOR RADIATION SEC=312.7 M2
HEATING SURFACE AREA FOR CONVECTION SEC=260.6 M2
