residual stress in static load ??? 1

Hello,

I am a complete beginner in Abaqus. I really appreciate any help about how to predicate residual stress in static load. I modelled thin steel plate,then I put a static load in it. I know how to get the max stress, but have no clue about residual stress.
Can i do it by Abaqus or i need another program?. How to do it by Abaqus. Can you please give me any tutorial?

you must apply plastic material and after final step proces ,you must create new step and remove load , BC and any contact
if you have any contact I sugestion to you use dynamic explicit
