Resistivity has a percolation behavior with concentration of your impurity. That means that even adding something conductive like carbon black will have almost no effect on resistivity until you have enough carbon black so that the particles touch and form a circuit. That means 10 or 20% by volume. So, resistivity should be a very insensitive way to look for contamination. Better would be FTIR, for example.
