Hi,
I have started recently perfoming stability studies for AVRs in NEPLAN. I am experiencing "interesting" converge issues testing different types of AVRs. AVR type is AC7B. The parameters have been acquired from a validaded PSSE model. I ve noticed that NEPLAN somehow does not allow to associate UEL of type 2 to AVR AC7B. The errors are either UEL is not simulated or Vf is not connected, although that UEL has been added in the connection frame and is active.
Apart from this, copy of elements, regulators etc is quite certain that leads to converge problems. An other case is optimization of PID parameters. Changing parameters will cause many bugs. Finally even after setting the initial parameters, the simulation might give you different responses. Some time restarting the software might help.
Have you experience sth like this?
Have a nice day
