Billed primarily as fashion help for women lawyers, consultants and corporate types, this website has some good information for dressing the part and answering difficult interview questions. There is a new topic every day. Today's topic is the follow up thank you after your interview, do you send an email or a handwritten note, etc. personally I like the handwritten note. Guys might find some useful things as well.

A friend recently suggested that I check out this site when I was telling her of my trouble finding a collared shirt that did not gap at the very worst place to wear to an interview. This site also has links for clothing manufacturers that make button down shirts for the fuller bust, for those of you who might be interested or in need of a shirt that does not require a safety pin. And no sniggering, dammit!

Thanks, Cass... that's a great idea!

Geez Cass...you're taking away the only fun the corporate weenie will have all day!

I don't think weenie problems will be addressed by custom fitted shirts Ron.

Custom pants/trousers maybe.

It's a good website for women, but is there any websites that give attire advice for men. I like to present myself as best as possible.

OK. Go ahead and laugh But I was seriously stressed out trying to find a button down shirt in 'corporate' blue to wear with a new suit for an interview. I couldn't find any shirt in any color that did not gap and I didn't have time to have one tailored to fit. Actually the reason I got a new suit is because my other one, a size 10, no longer fits. I had to go up to a size 14 and a good portion of that unemployment weight is topside.

At least your gain has an up side. Mine is all downstairs.[smile]

Actually Cass, despite the jokes, I may let the Mrs know about that site.

(I'm resisting any further smutty jokes, honest)

Cass
I'm giving you a star for brightening my day with this post and forwarding it to my wife who is also job hunting.

KENAT,

Some weenie problems require a hat.

cvg, Good luck to your wife. It's not good out there right now. The part I hate is never hearing back. At least with a rejection letter or email you know.

Cass: re the buttons, sew small snaps in between them.

I think about 10 years ago they started making women's clothing for MEN. No matter how large a size you buy, it still gaps at the bust. Especially if you don't keep your arms tightly clamped to your sides at all times.

Now I see most women, not even supremely well-endowed women, when they wear a buttoned shirt in "office casual" mode, wearing a tank top or shell underneath and only buttoning the shirt partway. It's become the style by now, but it's ultimately because they're making women's shirts FOR MEN!!

I think they started making women's shirts for men in the disco days-seeing gray haired chests with spoons and bling. Still cracks me up when I'm gray haired.

Hi Cass. I hope things go well with you. We've missed you in the pub. I'm looking forward to your job issues to be resolved so that you are again in the mood to "kick back" with us in the pub.
We're thinking of you, Girl.
Hope we see you soon.
Yours
Bill

ditto on Bill's post....Cass...we're lacking the "kick-ass"
female perspective in the Pub.

Times have been tough. I've been through a lot but I've had a few good interviews so maybe hope is just around the corner. Still looking for that perfect button down shirt in corporate blue that doent need alterations or extra gear to keep it from gapping
