Restart analysis

Hi

I'm a new member of this forum and fairly new to ABAQUS. I was wondering if it is possible to run an analysis using one method and then restart it from a certain increment using a different method. Also, does the first analysis have to complete for it to be restarted?

Hi txrobo,

There is *Restart command in Abaqus to fullfill your goal.
First step, to do first step analysis with *RESTART,WRITE,... Options.

Sencond step, to do sencond step use different method, by

*Restart, Read,... Options.

Or you can also try *IMPORT,... Command.
