My particular problem involves contacts and I have decided to conduct a dynamic implicit analysis (i.e. considering the density of the material) and standard static analysis. Am I correct to assume that if, the stress results are the same for both analysis then I can ignore the dynamic/intertial effects?

Thank-you

Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks.

If this is a dynamic event, why would you want to ignore the physics? Even for a static case, you still have to calculate the force due to dynamic influences in which density (i.e. weight) does play a big role.
