Retaining wall design

I have a land with building.The back side land is fourteen feet vertical height and then sloping 45 degrees. The total length of the wall is 45 feet. Total height of the land is 26 feet(14 feet vertical and remaining 12 feet slopping and then level). can anyone suggest how to retain this land. I have 1000 cft rubble with me.Is it poossible to utilise this rubble for this work?

First we need to know the soil profile, what you are supporting and what is the foundation soil. If you have no ability to excavate because of closeness to building foundations, you might consider shoring if drilling is possible.

A thorough subsurface investigation should be undertaken prior to any attempt at designing a retaining structure.

A compentant geotechnical/civil engineer should be consulted and in charge of any attempts to retain the soil.

civilmg makes a good point, however the rubble may be the best material to use behind a articulated block wall system. Depending on teh gradation of the rubble this can be a good medium to induce drainage of water form the wall system. Also if excavation is a problem then the use of manta ray anchors could be feasible.

to stabalize the upper slope I would suggest a soil wrapping system using geotextiles.

This situation dose indicate the need for a geotechnical anaylsis and the solutions are numerous, but i wousl say using the rubble wouls be fine if the gradation is not excessive coasre (boulders, cobbels and such) and this type of retetion can use anything from sheet piles to concrete walls to block walls.
