Hi,
How are fasteners selected from the library, sizes required.
Also I have not found any socket head screws.
Thank You for the help.

Which 'standard' are you using from the Machinery Library?

I just checked and they virtually ALL include Socket Head screws (note that they are found in the folder labeled 'Screw', not in one named 'Bolt').

Hi John,
Thank you for the reply.
I have been in the folders that have screws & they are hex head bolts.
The ANSI metric was the one I require but there is no screw folder under it.

Are you sure that you've downloaded the correct Machinery Library data:

Hi John,
I have not downloaded any libraries, where do I go to on the gtac site to get them or are they on the install DVD?
Thank You

Go to the GTAC support site...

...and select the 'Download Files' link. After you log into the FTP site using you WebKey ID/password, select the link labeled 'All Siemens PLM Products' and after the page builds select the 'NX/Unigraphics NX' item near the center of the page and then at the bottom of the page the appropriate Windows link and then at the bottom of the list you will see another link to the 'Machinery Library'. Select it and you will get a list of all of the libraries available. My advice is to first download the spreadsheet file named 'Machiner-library-catalogue-for-NX502.xls' which will show you the contents of all of the various libraries which will help to decide which ones that you wish to download (you probably don't need all of them since many are based on various international standards and there is some redundancy where standards overlap, so review this document first, then download the relevant .zip file(s). Also, before you actually attempt to install a library, you should also download and review the document titled 'Machinery-Library-readme.doc' and then download the install tools labeled 'Machinery-library-install-tool-2010-05-07.zip'.

Now if you might wish to expand or make modifications to a library or even create one of your own, will also need to review the material found in the file 'Standard_Parts_Creation_Best_Practice_v1.1.zip'.

Anyway, give this material a look and I think you will see that we have what you're looking for.
