Hello everyone,

I was told by our revenue meter vendor that the Pulse Weight (Kt) (energy/pulse) for the Alberta system is 1.84. Can anyone explain where this comes from? or guide me in the right direction?

I am told that Saskatchewan has a different value. this would be for a 35kV / 240kV generating facility revenue metering.

thanks

I used to believe that 120Vx5A=600x3=1800W, thus 1.8, which is a common Pulse weight. Since then I've seen all kinds of arbitrary numbers used. With the advent of digital meters and freely assignable K(t), it may make the math easier up stream with different numbers.

Back in the day of electro-mechanical meters the Kh (Watt Hours per revolution) was not standard. You had to check the face of each meter to determine the Kh.
