Revision Manager

I am using Revision Manager to explore the contents of assemblies. Sometimes I need to open included subassemblies and parts in SE. I am choosing the position from file tree then I push “Open in Editor” toolbar and the top level assembly will been opened at SE. That is really inconvenient to find again necessary file from Revision Manager or SE or Windows Explorer! Could anyone to suggest how to organize that trick?

It might seem inconveniant, but it is true to the nature of the assembly-building in Solid Edge. Changing the subassembly might influence the top assembly, so it is safer to open the top. The only thing you can do is open the file manually in Explorer or SE itself. It will leave the topassemly out of date though!

You can always open the included subassembly or file from the top-level assembly once it is opened in Solid Edge. It would open the same file that you are trying to open directly from Revision Manager. It would also ensure that links etc to the top level assembly are kept up-to-date.
