Revision Table Date Format - HELP

Hello all,

I am trying to figure out how to change the (default) date format in the revision table. I need to change it to the following format 07-10, month/year. I did a search and found the following thread from 2006 but was hoping that there is a way to change this by now, as it has been 4 more years. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.
