right size when i export the drawing

Hey guys
i finallly firgured out how to convert dwg. to pdf.

1. exported the dwg to a eps file
2. used the distiller to convert the eps to a pdf

but when i exported the dwg to eps it went fine but the command line said:
_export Effective plotting are: 7.50 wide by 4.43 high

So, when i open up the pdf file with my reader it does't cover th eentire page. How do i change the effective plotting area when i export the drawing.
