I am trying to make a steady state rolling simulation which necessitates specifying the Steady state criteria in the input file. One point to be mentioned in the Steady state criteria is the Rigid body reference node number (in this case the reference point at the roll centre axis). I would like to know how I can find out this node number. Using the query function to find information about a node does not yield the node number in case of a rigid body. Can anyone help me in this regard?

Thanks and regards,

CAE will assign a node number for rigid elements which will be listed in the .inp file. Do a search for RefPt and you should find it.

What steady state criteria do you wish to assign that can't be done in CAE in the Load module?

Hello,

First of all thanks for your answer and sorry for replying so late. I tried searching it in the input file. What I found was:

*Rigid Body, ref node=Roll-1-RefPt_, analytical surface=RigidSurface_

which I guess does not include the reference point node number. I am actually quite new to Abaqus and FEM in general. I want to specify the criteria for Steady State Detection, namely SSPEEQ, SSSPRD, SSFORC, SSTORQ. From Abaqus help I found out that these can be specified only in the input file. Could I get some help?

Regards,

Prasad
