Hello,
I've started using rigid body dynamics in ANSYS workbench. I'm working on a door mechanism that is opened by a pin in a slot mechanism. I've attached an image. The arm on the right hand side is a body-to-ground revolute, when it turns the pin should move in the slot and the door should open. The hinge on the left of the picture is also a body-to-ground revolute.
I'm having trouble with the slider. I think it is due to the reference coordinate system and the degree of freedom it can move in. I think I know how to realign the coordinate system based on the position of the slot at the start position. But I think I need to get the coordinate system to move with the door as it opens. Is there a way to do this in ANSYS?
Thanks
George

I've just had a thought, do I need to define a cylindrical coordinate system around the arm on the right hand side and then get the slot to use that coordinate system?
