Hi,
I have been looking for rivets made of a specific material and I haven't been able to find someone who carries them.
The material of the rivets is: galvanized zinc, black chromate (Cr3) and black alumite.
Actually we import this rivets from Japan, but we are looking for local vendors in the US. Anyone who knows something about this subject, please, any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Jose Luis.

Jose Luis,

You have not identified the rivet base material. What you have described are 3 different coating options for rivets. Galvanized zinc is one coating option. Black chromate is another, which would typically be applied over a zinc layer. And the black alumite coating is an anodized & sealed coating layer on aluminum-based metal parts. Zinc is usually plated over steel fasteners. Depending on the quantity needed, there are probably ~ 100 suppliers in the US for rivets with these coatings. Automotive vs. aerospace vs. industrial will have a significant influence on what suppliers you should contact.
