Hello,
Excuse me for my ignorance, but I am new in stochastic-fatigue analyses. Currently, I am doing a fatigue life calculation due to random vibration (PSD) loads. I have extracted the RMS stress on each critical point and now I have to calculate the number of cycles to failure. Can I use these stresses directly in S-N (Stress Range-Ncycles) curves from DNV or any other standards and compute the Ncycles? Or am I completely wrong?
Thank you in advance
