Im after some freeware or maybe some software some one maybe willing to share.

Im after a program that will give me a roads stormwater capacity when given the cross sectional profile and road longitudinal grade.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Quik2, a cutdown version of HEC-RAS, could be used to do the calculations you want. It is free and available from FEMA and from the Hydraulic Engineering Center at UC Davis. Do quick web search and you'll find either or both.

Good luck

It's not free but check out Haestad Method's FlowMaster. It is basically a normal depth calculator for channels (you can use a predefined channel such as trapazoidal or circular or you can define your own cross section). It also will calculate inlet capacities based on HEC-22 as well as orifice and weirs. This is the software I would recomend to all drainage engineers.
