Does anyone know where I can find some typical details for rock anchors used for resisting uplift? Specifically looking for details showing the rock anchor/footing connection and tensile test setups.

Check out NavFacs 7.2 as found on SlideRuleEra's website - you can actually do a google search for NAVFAC 7.2 and find free downloads in a number of locations. This is a good place to start. (Some might say this should be in one of the geotechnical posts and it should be - but, really, almost all geotechs read all the civil posts too.) This was discussed some in a recent post in one of the geo threads.

Check with the tendon suppliers. They have much info available.

I ran into this in Egypt. We used the tendon manufacturers info. and monitored pull-outs very closely until we had a solid base line to ensure their effectiveness.

Good Luck,
