Rock Drill Steels 1

Hi i would like to find out if there is any new steels whitch i can use for Drill Bits and drill rods

We are using the K0006 type in south africa but i think it is the same as SKF388K and SKF4320steel

is there no advancments in this steel or can you recomend a better type of steel.

HSS or carbide drills. Also now we get coated drills. Kennametal,Sandvik,Mitsubishi,representatives might help you.
