rods manufacturing method (except putrusion)

Hi,
We need to manufacture rods 6mm dia x 1m long, using UD carbon fibre and epoxy.
Is there an alternative way to do this except pultrusion?

A lot depends on the quantities you need.
A method for small batch work, is to wet preg the roving, draw it through a sizing die to control the resin content, then lay the strands in a mold, close the mold and cure.

A cruder method is to wet the strands on a board, tension wrap them around two pins, then wrap the roving bundles with heat shrink tape, then cure. Leave enough excess to cut off the ends.
