Although no SIL assessment is addressed to control devices nor for pressure safety devices, however, it is conveniently known that these devices tend to reduce the demand rate on SIF function. Does this credit comes as part of SIL determination qualitative study when assessing the impact on people,environment and economics or could it enter in the numerical SIL verification after calculating the PFD for the SIF function.
