Hello,

I'm being asked questions about rolling in my new job, however have no experience.

Q1: When rolling a cylinder (esp. stainless steel), do I compute length of the sheet out of mean diameter (i.e. ID+thickness of plate)?

Q2: When rolling i.e. an angle (profile which isn't symetrical), is there axial setting on the roller as well in addition to radial setting (which defines the radius). We experienced that the angles are bending along their lenght and workers keep telling me they can't do anything about it, however I've seen nicely rolled angles previously...

Regards,

Libor

Recommended for you

1. Neutral Axis (google)

2. You can test changing what settings you have and see, including the machine speed. The machine manufacture might help you some as well.
