We have a building we are evaluating with 14" deep steel 'joists' that have what looks like a ST2x3.85 top chord and a 2 1/4"x1/4" bottom chord. The middle two panels have a round bar welded to the top of the bottom chord. The web members are round bars. The configuration is somewhat similar to a SJI joist but they have indicated it is not a SJI member. Does anyone have a reference that would help for load tables if the is a manufactured joist? We have analyzed it as a truss but and it literally is at capacity for assumed dead or live loads. Before telling client they can not add any additional load we want to make sure we are looking at all options for the original design of the member.
