Roof manifold required?

I have a standpipe on the intermediate landing of each of the two stairs with a fire hose valve per the AHJ. Can I eliminate the roof manifold in the stair that accesses the roof by providing an additional FHV at the top of the standpipe on the intermediate landing? This would save me from having to run the supply for the RM up the underside of the stair risers to penetrate the roof's main landing. I do not have a roof manifold in the stair which does not access the roof. The stair towers are 230 feet apart.

The specs say the most current editions and associated references. NFPA 13, 14 & 20. It is also being looked at by a PE then to the national hotel chains Fire Protection Specialists. They have even made me recalculate my standpipes putting the additional 250 at the outlet of the FHV at the top of the 2nd standpipe instead of the tee as usual.
 
7.3.2* Class I Systems. Class I systems shall be provided with 65-mm (2½-in.) hose
connections in the following locations:
(1) At each intermediate landing between floor levels in every required exit stairway
(2) On each side of the wall adjacent to the exit openings of horizontal exits
(3) In other than covered mall buildings, in each exit passageway at the entrance from
the building areas into the passageway
(4) In covered mall buildings, at the entrance to each exit passageway or exit corridor,
and at the interior side of public entrances from the exterior to the mall
(5) At the highest landing of stairways with stairway access to a roof, and on the roof
where stairways do not access the roof.




See section (5). As long as the stairway accesses the roof you do not have to install the roof manifold. Also, their are some exceptions about roof slope, I believe if it exceeds 6 in 12 you do not have to install a roof manifold.
