Dear Experts,

I am reviewing a tank construction drawings for the next months project.

I found in the approved the drawing 2 units 50 M dia. x 20 M Ht Demin. Water storage tank with Alumunium Dome Roof with 3 - 12" PVSV on it.

The design pressure is 20 mBar and there is pneumatic test at 1.25 x design pressure.

I did many times pneumatic test for steel roof but never on ADR. I am very much doubt we can achieve 25 mBar test pressure without leaks.

Your comments is appreciated.

I would ask the dome roof suppliers that are active in your area.

Given that 25 mBar is about 52 pounds per square foot and the dome weight is about 3 pounds per square foot, I see this a a real challenge for a standard aluminum dome. Best get with the tank designers ( why the pressure for a demin water tank ? ) vendors ( is it possible to hole 25 mBar? ).
