Roof Truss Design : Getting Started [Question]

Hi all,

I'm new in tank design and I wanted to hear from all the experts out here. How do we design a roof truss frame? What are the disciplines involves in the design of truss? I wish to know the process from start to the end if possible. From the guys I asked they said they have a reference drawing and they just design them by using the standard drawing. What interest me is how they get started with the design from zero.

If you look at your API 650 Section 5.10, It clearly gives all perimeters to roof design.
