Rosemount 5302 Guided Wave Radar - Level Trend Opposite of Actual Level 1

I am investigating a vessel that has 2 separate level measurement bridles tapped off of it. They are both tapped at the same heights. One of the bridles uses a float style level transmitter to indicate level. The other uses a Rosemount 5302 GWR.

The level indication between the two of these devices has started to regularly trend in opposite directions of each other (Red Line is the GWR, Black is the Float). Both bridles have been flushed several times.

Any ideas???

Very interesting. The signals track together for a period, then one 'flips' and 'mirrors' the other.

It is as if one of the two is periodically switching between reporting 'level' or 'distance'.

The two reporting modes, level or distance, will always 'mirror' one another; one increases while the other decreases.

But the reporting function, level or distance, is always a primary setup function, not something that changes unless a gremlin gets on-line with a HART communicator (or AMS) and fidgets with the setup.
