rotary pump vendors

Gents,
I am trying to find a vendor who can provide a rotatry PD pump for water/gasoline service. the pump spck. is 1.5 m3/h at 58 meters head. Is this the recomended pump type for such parameters? pls. let me know what vendors are there.

Hello,

I'm not sure a rotary type pump would be a good choice for gasoline/water service. I would think a diagphram type similar to that used in automotive systems would be the way to go. Fuel type pumps used in automotive service have the advantage of many years of experience pumping these fluids and probably can supply exactly what you need.

why you think it is not a good choice? reliability,safety or a design point of view. we do not prefer diaphragm pumps in such a hazardous service as the safety rules are very restricted in case of diaphragm failures.
what about a plunger type?

Check out Corken Pumps out of Oklahoma City Oklahoma and also Blackmer pumps. They are both Rotory Vane pumps. I have installed quite a few in Gasoline service and work quite well. Plunger or Triplex pumps are not recommended for this service as leakage from piston glands could be an EPA nightmare.

Thanx for the help. you think rotary will work for 1.5m3/h at 57 meters head and 0.4 meters NPSHA? this is what i have concluded so far, if you can confirm it pls.
