Rotate a view in the direction of a line.................. 3

Hi,

How could I rotate a view along the direction (only) of a line (the "X" one, in the picture below)

Also, can I get the same result using my SpaceMouse Pro 3D Mouse?

Try making some sketch geometry and putting a plane that you can do "normal too".

If that is not going to work ,then I really do not understand your question properly

Are you trying to rotate a part model (*.sldprt) or a view on drawing document (*.slddrw)?

Hi, CAD2015:

Doesn't middle button on your mouse work for you? Do you want to rotate models precisely? If not, you can just click the middle button and move your mouse.

Using the middle button for view rotation is alright, but not for defined rotations moves.
Chris suggested a very good option.
Ideally for me would be figure out how to apply what Chris advised me, but using my spaceball:

Hi, CAD 2015:

There is no need to rotate a part or assembly model in 3D environment with parametric 3D CAD. You are probably thinking something else. Are you thinking about old ACAD?

You can rotate the part\assembly save that as a specific view and use that view in the drawing.

That is not necessary. You can create views based on geometries.

Right-click inside view, select "zoom/pan/rotate", select "rotate view".

Are you trying to rotate your part or assembly together with their coordinates? If that is case, you don't need to rotate them precisely. You just need to create custom views based on geometries in your part or assembly models.
