Howdy all,

So I've got two point clouds for the top and bottom of a part. The top has a curved surface from which I've extracted a curve using a spline to match a section of the points. Now I want to use this on the sketch I've created from the point cloud of the bottom but when I try and rotate it the spline handels do not rotate and it distorts my spline. Translating the spline is not a problem. If anyone has a solution for this problem please let me know. Thanks.

Remember, first define the problem, then solve it.

Use the Convert Entities tool to create a non-spline sketch, then copy and rotate that sketch.

Create a surface from the spline, then copy and rotate the surface and use the edge of the surface for .... whatever it is you are trying to do.

Thanks CBL. I had trouble at first because I tried your suggestion in the part I was working on, but converting an entity makes it fully constrained. If I just took the spline and performed convert entities in that sketch and _then_ copied (which looking back is what you wrote) It worked. Those little details make a difference. Now to do it again for a different section so I can do a lofted cut.
