Hi,

Pardon me if this question has been already answered but I want to rotate an assembly in SW Motion about the Y axis. When I do it, the assembly does not stay centered because the origin is not in the center of the assembly itself.

I tried moving the assembly to the origin but it never seems to work.

What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks!

Create an axis in the assembly about which you wish to rotate and mate that to the defining features.

To accomplish moving the assembly? Unfix whichever part is fixed in the assembly. Determine which part is the center of your assembly then mate its planes to the assembly planes such that the assembly is orientated as needed.
