How do I calculate the distance in the x, y, z planes if I wanted to rotate, say, a 10-foot segment of pipe attached to a 22.5-deg bend by 45 degrees? That is, how do I illustrate the difference in station and elevations depending on how much I rotate a x-deg bend?

Most manuals from pipe manufacturers have formulae for computing the offsets. Here is a link to an online manual, refer to pg 17-26. It should be self-explanatory once you see it.
