Hello All,
I am simulating rotating anode in x-ray tube, where on the front slanted surface of anode the heat is generated by bombardment of electron beam from cathode emitted electrons. Beam then reflects into vaccum in tube and pass on to atmosphere through glass. Now anode rotates at 3000rpm and I want to find out thermal distribution in anode in ANSYS WORKBENCH 14.5. I have experience in static, and transient thermal but in this case its combination of rotation, transient thermal. I dont have coding experience in APDL, I read old thread of rotating disc with transient thermal but in my case the heat will be generated on particular area for few seconds and beam then moves to next. Since the geometry is axisymmetric can I do 2D analysis and How would I simulate this in Ansys workbench as 3D, I will attach geometry of an rotating anode here. Thanks in advance.
