One of my users is having an issue with precision rounding. He places a dimension on the drawing and it seems to "randomly" round either up or down.

For example, a circle is drawn with a 0.3125 in. diameter. Precision is set to 0.000. When this circle is dimensioned it sometimes shows 0.312 and sometimes 0.313. If you move the dimension itself around later, you can actually see as the number flip-flops between the two values depending on where you place it.

Has anybody come across this before?

I personally have not seen your issue (we use Mechanical also) but I do know that Mechanical will not be any more accurate than you set it to be. For example, if you have 6 decimals showing and creat a line by typing @20,0 the line can be 20.00000001 long. Our engineers hate that quirk and they usually draw at 8 decimal places because of it. But it can still crop up.
