RTJ channel for ring gasket acc. to USAS B16.5/ 1968

Hello.

I am searching for the standard USAS B16.5/ 1968.

We have to prepare test blinds for some equipments which were made in 70's.

In these equipments, the nozzles appeared with the following notation: Flange SI DN80 PN63,3 according to USAS B16.5/ 1968.

The diameter of bolt circle is 170, it has 8 holes with 22mm diameter.

I think SI is the old notation for RTJ.

I want to know which is the RTJ channel dimensions for the ring gasket?

Cant help you with that, but PN-rating for a B16.5 flange? Never heard of that.

US ASA or USAS was the pre runner to ANSI and then ASME.

I've had a quick internet search and found a download, but it wouldn't download for me (possibly security issues) but if I was you I would write or call ANSI and ask how can you get a copy of US ASA B 16.5 1968.

Does look a bit of a dodgy site alright....

Flanges used to be designated in metric and imperial at that time, but I agree with XL83NL, a PN 63.3 designation looks like it comes from a European standard, but may have been included somehow in B16.5 at that time.
