Hello,

Does anyone know of a brand-name or supplier of a rubber/metal shim/rubber type of laminated gasket material? I've seen them many times but don't know what that type of sandwich is called.

It's called a multi-layer shim (MLS) gasket. They're common in the automotive industry. Cometic is an example of a manufacturer.
