Hi All,

Just curious if anyone knows of a guidebook to help design a rubber-tipped plug (molded over 303SS) that would be used in lieu of a o-ring to help maximize flow upon opening while still creating a bubble tight seal upon closing (100 psig water). Plug will be passing through port.

Is it as simple as making the plug .010” or so larger in diameter than the port or is it more involved?

Water temp range is 55-170F, looking to use 75 Shore A Duro Buna or Viton if that matters.

Thanks in advance!
