Running 415V/50Hz off 230V/60Hz system 2

Need input on running a 415 volt 50Hz machine (English) on
a 230 volt 60Hz (American) 3PH power system.

You would need a transformer to get the voltage up. The motors could work on a 480V system, some control functions might not tolerate the higher voltage. All motors that are not on drives would run 20% faster, which could be a problem. I wouldn't try to run with a 50% undervoltage though.

Correct. What you need to do is go through your entire electrical system and evaluate each component for suitability to run at 60Hz. For instance, motors will run faster as david beach said, but a lot of drives, be they VFDs or servos, will not care about incoming frequency. The same may be true for power supplies, and even if they are sensitive, many have switches to select 50 or 60Hz. Anything with coils may need to be replaced however, 50Hz coils usually burn out in short order when run at 60Hz. Transformers may or may not be a problem. Lamps are no problem at all. Once you do that and replace anything that isn't compatible, then just deal with the voltage.
