I have always used 100 psf live load for running tracks (in a gymnasium). However, ASCE 7 specifies 60 psf for walkways and elevated platforms. It also specifies 100 psf for gym balconies and dance floors (the most similar items I could find to running track). Which of these loads is correct?

We've used 100 psf for elevated running tracks in gymnasiums. We've also spent some time checking the vibration characteristics...adding mass to ensure that the runners don't get bounced around.
