Can a VBA macro in Excel 2K be run from a command line? I assume that the Excel workbook and VBA IDE is already open and running. I just need to run a specific Sub function in a module of the workbook project in a DOS command line. I'm a novice of VBA. Sorry if this question doesn't make sense at all. Any idea would be appreciated.

DOS command line interfaces with the OS via streams called STDIN and STDOUT. These are not easily accessible to Windows environment. If you're prepared for some serious work there are a few clues on how to start in our sister site for computer professionals. You could start with and then do search on that forum for STDIN and STDOUT

Warning - you're in for some heavy stuff!

Good Luck

Does it have to work with Excel, or could the macro be rewritten in VBScript?
