RUSTY FITTING/ACID PICKLING /ANTOX 71 E

As I know this product (ANTOX 71 E ) is being used for remove oxidation from weld seams

I have o lot of rusty Stainles steel fitting and I have no chance them put in acid bath for surface treatment

I just wanna know is it use remove rust from directly pipe or fitting surface

if your answer is yes how can be apply ?

This product is a mixture of HF and HNO3. It will dissolve oxide on stainless. However, if you have rust, there is a good chance what you have is not an oxide of stainless but some iron oxide from another source. Why not try something less severe like HNO3 alone first? Then you don't have the HF danger.

I would suggest citric acid or phosphoric acid first. They would remove surface rust. Then you can see what the surface really looks like.
If it is already heavily pitted you should mechanicaly polish it and then reclean it with acid.
