Hi,
Has anyone heard about Modified Rutledge Formula for designing pile depth in non cohesive soils?
D =[ 3.6V + sqrt(12.96 * V^2 + 16.2 * B * S * M )] / ( 2*B*S)
D = depth required
M = bending moment
V = shear force
S = ultimate bearing capacity of soil
B = width of footing (pile diameter)
If yes, where is it documented?
Thank you.
