Dear all,
I am trying to model a Rutman Fastener in PATRAN (2018). I have a 3D (Tet10) bracket attaching to a spar skin 2D (CQUAD, PCOMP property). I have created a group with the nodes to join (3 nodes from the 3D bracket and 1 node from the skin, total of 4 nodes as shown below) not the whole model is shown for clarity:
The application to create the Rutman (and any relevant setting is shown below (units used are inches):
The Axis I use is the Z-axis of the coordinate system 99900003.3 (as shown below) and fastener location is top node 1 (as shown below):
GROUP "Fast_Nodes" (under Fastener Connections field) are 4 nodes shown above (Nodes 1-4)
When I hit "APPLY" to create the RUTMAN Fastener, I get the following ERROR:
Can anyone help me with this?
I have checked that all nodes are associated to elements, all elms have valid properties, increased tolerance to see if it makes any difference (although I have made sure that all my nodes (4 in this case) are all along the Fastener line (shown yellow in above pictures)).
Any tips are welcome.
Thanks
