S function Timesteps

I need to read in data from a workspace table and assign these numbers to variables and perform a caculation with these variables during one timestep. I currently have a C based S function configured as no discrete states and no continuous states. I am thinking that this is why it isn't working and that I should have 1 continuous state or one for each variable assignment?

Any help would be appreciated.
